In this role you will be part of the unified Analytics team Germany and The Netherlands. Your main focus is to support our experienced Insights consultants in the set-up and insights delivery phases of our Analytics projects. In time you will conduct smaller studies independently, for larger studies you work together with an experienced Insights consultant. IRI analytics studies are executed in collaboration with our in-house IRI Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE) in Athen (communication in English). For these larger analytics studies, you formulate specifications, collect the required input data and support in visualizing and translating the results into insights for the client in a clear manner. In close collaboration with the lead consultant you are responsible for executing projects from start to end with a key focus on Marketing Analytics. For instance: optimizing price setting, improving promotional calendars, higher media return on investments, selecting an assortment that matters most to shoppers and forecasting studies all based on (retailer) sales data. You will learn on the job under the guidance of our more experienced Insights Consultants and gradually build your knowledge and gain experience in the Analytics field. Eventually you will become an expert in our Analytics solutions and get skilled in project management and develop your ability to create impactful insights for leading FMCG companies and retailers. You are actively encouraged to develop yourself as our analytics expert and becoming a trusted advisor to both our internal sales organization and our FMCG and Retailer clients. Our Insights consultants play a vital role in contributing to IRI's overall revenue as well as client satisfaction goals. While meeting and exceeding revenue targets is important, success is equally measured by the ability to create long-term consultative partnerships., * Be the primary contact for our in-house modelling team - IRI Analytics Center of Excellence (ACE). * Responsible for project scoping, e.g.: collect & check sales data, client data, 3^rd party data. * Quality assurance: performing quality checks pre- and post-modeling stage of the project. * Project planning: track deadlines and pro-actively signal possible issues to all internal stakeholders. * Supporting in processing the results into high quality insights presentations. * Visualize data/results in a clear and creative way.
* Bachelor or Master degree (ideally Marketing, Business Administration or Econometrics). * 1-3 years of working experience in the area of FMCG, Retailer or Market Research. Relevant working experience in context of internships or working student activities also applies! * Strong analytical skills. * Project management skills and the ability to run multiple projects at the same time. * Operational discipline, means can do attitude and a strong focus on getting things done. * Excellent communication skills verbal and written in English (mandatory) and preferably German language skills., The amount of consumer data has exploded in recent years. Big data is everywhere, and the means to analyse that data are becoming increasingly intelligent. At the same time, the lines between the various sales channels are blurring in FMCG. Manufacturers are much more concerned with the share of stomach - whether through retail, out-of-home or online. Nowadays the question is no longer: how many frozen pizzas do I sell as a manufacturer, but from which channels can a customer who wants pizza choose? This combination of factors - much more available data and blurring channels - creates a challenging playing field.
